We seek to be intentionally present to those that call the Southview neighborhood their home.
Kids matter to us and so do families. We recognize there are many challenges that families face and so we look to support families of all shapes, types and sizes.
pancake breakfast
The first Sunday of the month from 10 - 11 AM we gather around tables to enjoy a free pancake breakfast while connecting with each other.
This will be in place of our regular Sunday gathering. Enjoy some breakfast while getting to know the neighbors through simple monthly themed discussion questions (ie. school memories, thanksgiving, Christmas traditions).

playgroup
Tuesday morning from 9-11:30 AM kids (0-5 years old) and their caregivers are invited to drop in for a morning out. We will have a fresh pot of coffee ready for you and a place to sit and relax as the kids play, discover and have fun.

(we do not have group on holidays or when schools are on break)
No Playgroup April 2nd
*Each child must have a caregiver present for supervision during playgroup.
family movie nights
The second Saturday of each month at 6 PM everyone is welcome to join us for a family friendly movie. We provide the snack and drinks. You just need to bring your stuffies, pillows and blankets and whatever else you need to get comfy to enjoy the movie.
Doors open at 5:30 so come early to grab a spot and grab your snacks.

English Cafe
English Cafe is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and practice English through games and conversation. Southview runs this program in partnership with Hillcrest church. Join us the following Monday nights, for free!

We partner with Southview Community School to support the kids who live in our neighbourhood.
We volunteer at school events (welcome back BBQ/meet the teacher, field trips and their year end field day) and volunteer weekly to mentor and help kids with their leadership development.
